A permit from the Board of Managers is required before beginning any of the following:

Tiling

Installing bridge or culvert

Ditch cleaning

Modification of natural waterway

09

Excavation or filling near a natural waterway

Ditching

04

Installing pipelines, wires, or cables across or under waterway

06

Ponding/Berming

08

Modification of wetland

The High Island Creek Watershed District has adopted rules and regulations which can be found here:

The Board of Managers is considering amending the Rules and Regulations. A copy of the proposed amendments to the Rules and Regulations can be found here:

Please submit any comments you have any the proposed amendments to the District Attorney or by using the Contact Us page.

A permit application form can be downloaded here:

The completed permit application may be submitted at a meeting or to the ditch inspector or attorney for the district.

 

The District Mangers have issued a General Permit No. 01 for cleaning within a public watercourse where the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources has issued a Public Water Works Permit.
